First thing first, make sure your router is centrally placed, off the floor in an open space in the centre of your home and away from anything that could interfere with the signal such as:
Fish tanks
Thick walls
Mirrors or reflecting surfaces
Electronic devices e.g. baby monitors, cordless phones or kitchen equipment
And don't scare your router by putting it in dark places such as a cupboard!
