Through the years, there’s been a bunch of notable icons calling Bishops Stortford their home! To name a few... Chelmsford
Back in 2012, Chelmsford got the Royal stamp of approval and was granted city status, in line with The Late Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. It’s a town full of hidden gems, and we really love it there! Chelmsford is the birthplace of radio, thanks to its connection with Guglielmo Marconi, who opened the world’s first wireless factory here in 1899! They also hold the fort with the smallest cathedral in England. We’re huge fans of the Chelmsford Arts and Cultural Festival to celebrate local talent and the arts scene!
Clacton-on-Sea
Did you know that Jennifer Worth, the writer of Call the Midwife trilogy, which later became a TV series was born in Clacton? One of our absolute favourite events is held every year at Clacton! The Clacton-on-Sea Air Show is the place to be for a set of breathtaking aerobatic displays with both civilian and military aircraft. Check out what we were up to last year at the Clacton Air Show.
Sudbury
