An update for Lit Fibre customers: Zen Internet to welcome you from January 2026

Today (16 December 2025) we’ve shared some important news. Lit Fibre has agreed with Zen Internet for Zen to acquire Lit Fibre’s customer base, following a decision by our Board to exit the UK broadband market.

We know a change like this can raise questions, so here’s the clear, customer-friendly summary of what’s happening and what it means for you.

Why Zen?

From day one, Lit Fibre has focused on doing broadband properly: transparent pricing, brilliant support, and a consistently high-quality full-fibre service. Choosing the right home for our customers was the most important part of this process, and Zen shares those same values.

Zen is widely recognised for service excellence and fairness, including:

  • Which? Customer Service Brand of the Year 2024

  • The only Which? Recommended Broadband Provider for five consecutive years

  • PC Pro’s Best Broadband ISP 2025, extending a record run of 22 consecutive wins

Lit Fibre has also built a market-leading reputation for customer experience, including being the No.1 rated ISP on Trustpilot in 2024. This agreement brings together two providers known for putting customers first.

What this means for you

The most important reassurance is this: your package stays the same.

When you transition to Zen, you will keep:

  • Your current monthly price

  • Your contract length

  • Your existing terms and conditions

  • Lit Fibre’s commitment to no in-contract price increases

In other words, you can expect continuity in what you receive and what you pay, with the added reassurance of moving to a larger, long-established provider.

What happens next

  • You will receive more information from Lit Fibre, including a clear overview of next steps.

  • The migration is expected to begin in January 2026.

  • Until then, nothing changes: if you need help or have questions, please continue to contact Lit Fibre support in the usual way.

Zen’s Strategy Director, David Barber, summed it up simply: Lit Fibre customers chose a provider that puts service and fairness first, and that’s what Zen stands for too. Lit Fibre CEO Tom Williams also reinforced what matters most to us: moving customers to a trusted provider with shared values, and ensuring you continue to receive great service and support.

A final word from us

We’re genuinely proud of what Lit Fibre customers have helped us build: a full-fibre broadband experience that puts people first. While we’re exiting the market, our priority is making sure you’re looked after through a smooth transition, with clear communication and no surprises.

If you’re a Lit Fibre customer, keep an eye out for upcoming emails and updates from us, and please reach out to our team if you need support before the migration begins.
