Following on from their announcement on 26th November that Lit Fibre was starting to deploy its 10Gb capable network in Sudbury, Suffolk and Evesham, Worcestershire, the company has confirmed that installation of its 10Gb capable network in Clacton-on-Sea is at an advanced stage and will be available for customers to place orders for service in January. Additionally, work will begin in January 2022 to extend coverage to the nearby town of Frinton-on-Sea.
Residents living within these areas will be able to order their full-fibre broadband service from a choice of symmetrical 100Mb, 500Mb or 1Gb packages. Lit Fibre’s 10Gb capable network delivers a much more reliable and consistent service than the old copper based network, bringing the best broadband infrastructure available anywhere in the world to the residents of Clacton-on-Sea and Frinton-on-Sea. Introductory prices start from just £28 a month for Lit100 and are subject to a minimum 12 month period.
This announcement means work is starting on the sixth and seventh towns on Lit Fibre’s deployment plan, and continues to support their goal of rolling its network out to 500,000 homes by 2026.
Tom Williams, CEO of Lit Fibre, said “We continue to expand our network build teams, and it’s great to announce we’re now building in 2 more towns so soon after our first homes went live in Chippenham, Cirencester and Bishop’s Stortford. More and more customers are getting access to Lit Fibre on a weekly basis, improving their homes’ speeds and reliability just in time for the festive period.”
