As our way of thanking the Harpenden Trust team for all the incredible work they get up to in their way day-to-day, Lit Fibre made it a priority to get them installed with lightning-fast full-fibre. We formed human connections with the team, and got them connected through our super-reliable full-fibre in both locations. Plus, the great community of Harpenden get to surf the web without the buffering, dead zones, lagging – you name it. This tied in perfectly with the new Well Bean cafe opening!
Richard Nichols, Chair of Harpenden Trust
“We are delighted to thank Lit Fibre for their fabulous generosity in connecting our new community halls for the volunteers and visitors to be able to access free, ultrafast full-fibre internet. The work Lit Fibre does within communities really stands out to us as we strive to support individuals, families and community organisations throughout Harpenden.”
But, we didn’t stop there! Since then, Lit Fibre have been involved in a few projects and sponsorships to support the great work of Harpenden Trust. We don’t just talk the talk – we really do care about everything that goes on in our communities. For instance, we’ve been involved with their Christmas Appeal, which was a huge success by raising a quite remarkable amount of £55,500 (including Gift Aid).
Stephen Andrews, Community Manager, Lit Fibre
“At an early stage in our Harpenden network build, I visited the Town to look for opportunities to engage with our communities, as this is always very important to us. From spending time there, the name of one organisation was repeatedly mentioned as being a provider and driving force behind so many fantastic local community initiatives and it was obvious I needed to speak to the Harpenden Trust!
I was put in touch with their Chairman Richard and heard first-hand about all the amazing work they undertake in and around Harpenden, and I knew this was exactly the community focussed organisation that we look to support and work with. The timing was perfect, as Richard explained that the Trust had just taken on a lease to new premises where the Trust planned on opening rooms for community use and a community café. Lit Fibre agreed to provide a free of charge ultrafast, full-fibre connection to the new building, and to the Trust’s existing offices nearby”.
