Building connectivity and Listed Buildings for full-fibre...

At Lit Fibre, we know that every home deserves a full-fibre connection, even when it comes to homes that fall under the Listed Buildings category. We're all about making your internet experience as smooooth as possible, but there’s just an extra few steps if your home is a Listed Property. Don’t worry at all, we will guide you through the steps and are ready to help with anything.

Getting the green light with Listed Building Consent

Listed buildings are the local gems in the historical and architectural space – so, making any changes needs an extra green light. As much as we can’t wait for you to experience internet done properly with Lit Fibre, we need a few things will need to happen before we can install our fibre-optic cables into your home.

We need to dot all the i's and cross all the t’s before our team of amazing engineers come in for a full-fibre installation.  All we need is a copy of your permit to hook you up to our network. Carry on reading to find out how to get this sorted!

How to get the go-ahead on Listed Buildings

To get your Listed Building connected, we’ll need to drill a little hole and fix a box outside (and maybe an extra cable) – it’s the only reason behind having the extra red tape. Because it’s such a small change to your home, getting approval shouldn’t be too much of a mission. If you’re interested in the behind-the-scenes of our installations, find out more here.

For you to receive a Listed Building Consent, you’ll need to have a chat with your local authority and apply for permission for the works to be carried out. We are here to guide you all the way through and find a solution that works for everyone – just give our Customer Support a quick call if you come across any issues.
